What Are The Side Effects Of Biotin?

I took biotin for 6 days and experienced a lot of sides effects and the only thing changed in my life was the 5000 mg biotin intake. I interrupted the treatment but still am experiencing the bloating and huge appetite. My question is how long will it take for my body to come back to its normal state like before the biotin?

Thanks you for asking this question. I have undergone through your question. I understand your concern. Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin that typically causes no side effects, even in those who take it in high doses. Those who do experience side effects most often report cystic acne breakouts that clear up when they stop taking the supplement. Certain people also have allergic reactions to it, and taking it with certain medications can make them less effective. Pregnant women should not take biotin without consulting a healthcare professional because of possibility of miscarriage.
You can reduce chance of biotin side effects by taking supplements in the recommended dosage, which is generally around 30 mcg/day for adults. Since it is a water-soluble vitamin, drinking more fluids can also help flush any extra biotin out of the body. If you are getting relief even after stopping biotin then consult your doctor to investigate the cause of your problem.
I hope this information will help you
