my daughter was diagnosed with hypothyrodism when she was 5years old .now she is 10yrs old.she has been taking thyronorm 75mcg in the morning.i would like to know the side effects she may have to face and if there is some alternate cure to it.kindly help.
Hello, Good day. Thyronorm contains thyroxine. This is a safe drug. Side effects happen only of she takes excess dose. Excess dose can cause palpitations, weight loss, bone loss etc. But if her TSH is normal, please don't worry. As she is 10 years old, it is extremely important to continue thyronorm. It is essential for her growth. There is no alternative cure in modern medicine. You may consult homeo/ayurvedic doctors for that. However, I must reassure you that this is an essential drug and is very safe Regards binu
