Hi, I ve got the mirena coil fitted, I ve had it now since March this year. A couple of days ago my partner and I had sex and now I feel the constant urge to go for a wee, even if I ve just been. I barely noticed the pain at first but over the past 24 hours, just as I finish emptying my bladder I get a horrible shooting/stabbing pain that feels like it s right by or on my cervix. I feel like I m cramping when sitting down and it hurts to stand up. Today I noticed that I was bleeding lightly but the blood was bright red and rather watery.. I can t get a drs appointment until next week and was wondering what you thought it could be?
I think the IUD that you have got inserted is displaced or may be slightly came out. This might have happened due to your recent sexual intercourse. It can also happen due to normal uterine contractions. It needs to be examined and than removed if necessary. This can not be done by yourself or by untrained person, So you need to consult your gynecologist as early as possible.
