What Are The Side Effects Of Lovastatin And Metformin?

I am taking lovastatin and metformin and i am concerned about the side affects. I am having weakness in my lower back and sometime pain in my right side. sometimes its like the weakness in my back makes it hard to stand straight. My doctor says he didn t see anything wrong . I wonder if its coming from one of these medications?

Hello,
Probably not coming from the medications. Metformin side effects are usually nausea and diarrhea. Lovastatin can cause pain but it is not usually just in one location. If lovastatin irritates the muscles it is usually all over muscle pain. Your doctor can check blood tests to make sure the lovastatin is not damaging your muscles
