What Are The Side Effects Of Lisinopril?

Hi, I was just put on Lisinopril for High blood pressure. I m nervous taking any new drug because I have numerous drug allergies and 80% of the time I end up in E.R. I m on 2.5 mg if I was allergic how many days would I have to take this med before noticing seeing it s a small dosage?

Any drug can cause allergic reactions. Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor group drug which has allergic reactions like angioedema and rashes. But only some people get this problems. Usually in the first week of intake you can get the manifestation of allergy. Very rarely you can get a late manifestation also. Some people get side effects like dry cough also with this drug. If you don't have such problems you can continue the drug. Hope this may help you.
