What Are The Side Effects Of Ketorolac?

I recently took ketorolac pills after having impacted wisdom teeth removed. I was on the pills for 7 days as I got dry socket. Ten days after stopping both ketorolac and amoxicillan I got itchy and spotty skin on my back and a little on my chest. A walk in clinic doctor said it is most likely a delayed reaction from one of the medications I was on and recommended taking reactine during the day and benedril at bed time. They helped a little as my back is no longer itchy or red however my middle chest along sternum area is still itchy on and off and dry and wrinkly looking. My lower stomach is also getting itchy sometimes. It has been several weeks and it is getting frustrating. Any advice or recommendations? I will see my g.p. soon and take a blood test but curious of other opinions.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely allergic reaction to ketorolac or amoxicillin. If you had any history of allergy to penicillin group drugs then amoxicillin is the most likely cause.
As you have taken these drugs for 7 days it will take some time to clear the allergic reaction completely. If not helping with reactine (cetirizine) and benedryl (diphenhydramine) a short course of corticosteroids like methyl prednisolone will be helpful to relieve the rash and itching symptoms.
Ketorolac is usually well tolerated for short time pain management. Usual side effects are gastric upset , heart burn , feeling dizziness , constipation , sweating etc. Allergic reaction is possible to susceptible persons. In such case rashes and itching will be present.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
