IMPLANON is etonogestrel implant - a prescription medication for the prevention of
pregnancy in women.
Besides changes in menstrual bleeding patterns, other common side effects reported are headache, inflammation of the vagina, weight gain, acne,
breast pain,
throat infection, stomach pain, painful periods, mood swings, back pain, nausea,
dizziness and pain at the site of insertion.
Usually, you will regain your fertility immediately after its removal. Maximum it may take about 2 weeks. If you start getting your periods right, your ovulation also should happen normally.
Hence, you need a proper workup for why you are unable to conceive for 3 years after its removal.
