Welcome,
Discuss with your doctor or take second opinion .
Proluton Depot is a progesterone hormone derivative. This plays an important role in implantation and maintaining of the pregnancy.
Up to 12 weeks of pregnancy the corpus luteum will produce progesterone and after 12 weeks the placenta starts producing.
A deficiency in the hormone release will result in difficult implantation of the embryo. Hence to overcome this progesterone supportive therapy is used. Progesterone deficiency causes maximum chances of bleeding in the second half of the pregnancy like 3 to 6 months. The placental failure is the reason. It is commonly used in the second half of pregnancy to prevent any miscarriage.
Depending on the progress of the pregnancy it will be reduced. In general it is continued up to the continuation of the second trimester.
Stop worrying and enjoy the motherhood. Hope this is helpful to you.
Take care.
