What Are The Side Effects Of Cartigen?

My mother is suffering from osteoarthritis. She has been recommended Cartigen 1500 by a doctor after all the x- ray s and check up.. She was being told that it is having side effects to many.. And it depends on whether it suits or not. So she is asked to continue if it suits her.. Please tell me what are its major and minor side effects .. And sometimes she is having few swellings in hand, lower lips etc. So is it the medicine side effect ?? Please advice me...

The Possible Side Effects of CARTIGEN are Anorexia, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Drowsiness, Epigastric pain, Erythema, Headache, Heartburn, Insomnia(loss of sleep), Nausea, Pruritis (itching), Tenderness and Vomiting.

The swellings in her hand and lower lips may or may not be related to cartigen. In either case I would advise you to consult her doctor for the same.
