What Are The Repercussions Of Missing Multiple Dosage Of Amoxicillin?

I m supposed to take 1 tablet (875mg each) every 12 hours. I may have just taken 2 tablets of Amoxicillin. I was multi tasking (including having my morning glass of water) and couldn t remember if I had already taken the pill. I was 80% I hadn t and took another. How concerned should I be?

This is not a big issue of medical concern and you don't need ER consultation or a real doctor visit. Thanks to HCM for making life easier regarding healthcare in such cases.

Although it should be given in divided doses the maximum allowed dosage (depending strictly on the disease you have, physical examination by a doctor and other factors) is 6grams per day. As you took it by mistake but still acceptable dosage it was.

To avoid mistake, take medicine same time daily. Fix an alarm and take the dose before turning off the snooze option of the alarm.
