What Are The Red Dots On My Neck Area With A Sore Throat?

The front middle part of my neck is really tender to touch, it feels kind of bruised. There are small flat red dots on this area. I had a sore throat yesterday and the day before, but it went away today. I do remember my neck being slightly itchy yesterday, what might this be ?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Most cases of acute sore throat are related to viral upper respiratory tract infections.

These infections can be associated with a rash. This is likely the cause of the rash that you are noticing in this area.

Normally it resolves soon after the infection, you can consider monitoring it.

If it worsens or does not improve then you can visit your doctor for an assessment.

I hope this helps
