What Are The Reasons For Chest Discomfort And Having Mucus In Throat?

Hello, since I woke up this morning I felt a tightness discomfort in my chest for the first time ever. I also had some mucus in my throat when I woke up which I coughed up and out. Can you tell me why I would get mucus in my throat each morning when I woke up ? and what could cause this tightness in my chest ? Thank you in advance.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello and welcome to health care magic,

You seem to have an infection or a reflux induced problem which is causing increased mucous in your throat.

You must do these:

get a complete blood examination including sputum examination done and also ESR
Get a chest X ray
Get an upper GI endoscopy

Get all these tests and get back to me or any ENT with the reports
regards

Dr Sriram nathan
