Regarding your query ,some more information will help.Is there any pain or discomfort associate? How long it is for & what is your age group?
You need to be evaluated by an ENT Surgeon & flexible nasolaryngoscopy is done in the OPD -you can see the images of you upper aerodigestive tract with your doctor. The whole procedure takes 2-3 mts.
As regarding reasons for your complain, lets start with common things first..acid reflux or GERD can cause such symptoms. Some autoimmune diseases cause dryness of mouth, then it can happen. In females ,there is an syndrome where this symptom is associated with anaemia & web of upper esophagus.Other causes include swellings /tumours of this area & neuromuscular problems.
