What Are The Purple Lines On My Son's Back?

My son age 18,very slim has purple lines on his trunk around the back, they are not stretch marks but they are like nothing I've ever seen. They look like he has been scratched by a tiger and left with these 'scars' but of course he hasn't. They have been there for months! What can they be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, they must be the stretch marks, he must have become obese for some time and then would have become thin again.
I advise you to consult a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment .
Now a days there are medicines for such skin marks.
Let him take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
