What Are The Precautions To Be Taken Post Ligament Tear In Leg?

I fell down from bus on October 26 and was diagnosed with ankle ligament tear on my left leg.I was put on bandage for first one week(Bandage normally used for fractures).. And doctor gave me medicine....and he allowed me to walk after rest of 2 days.. When I sit on chair my leg starting paining....
Queries--
1) can i walk or not??????
2) can i sit on chair or not???????
3) any other precautions

well come to HCM
because of the soft tissue injury such pain is very likely you were not supposed to walked within two days but you ought to walked after 8 to 10 days, now have a complete bad rest of couple of weeks if the symptoms persist the this need to be brought to investigation CT study would be necessary, hope this information helps, take care.
