1. avoid bending,straining,coughing,blowing the nose,sneezing,drinking with a straw, for 6 weeks, which may/could cause a CSF leak.
2. to prevent straining at stool, use stool softeners and drink plenty of water and take high fibre diet.
3. call your doctor immediately if any of the following symptoms are noted: .Increased amount of nasal drainage, fever greater than 100.F,foul taste in the mouth, signs of CSF leak, signs of sinus infection.
4. Because this surgery disturb your hormone levels, you need to take hormones for some time. [hisone-hydrocortisone, thyronorm-thyroxine].You may also need to be followed by an eye doctor and an endocrine doctor as well as the attending surgeon.

PS. Your pituitary function will be checked at regular intervals. MRI scans will be the main follow-up tests, along with testing hormone levels [ If the results show that the adenoma was completely removed and that pituitary function is normal, you will still need periodic visits with your doctor]
