What Are The Possible Treatments For Chrostriditis ?

I have been having right side pain...ribs ache and feels like burning sensation. Stomach pain too. I do not have a fever nor nausea. I can eat and have regular bowel movements. My gynecologist thought might be chostriditis? Feels like a side stitch.

Hello,

Costochondritis is a condition in which ribs are attached to the sternum by a cartilage that get inflammed. It may be due to trauma or viral infection.

It is to be diagnosed mainly on clinical history and examination.

Acetaminophen and cold and warm compression may useful.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
