What Are The New Blood Pressure Ranges?

What are the new blood pressure ranges? I understand they recently changed, with higher numbers than before that indicate meds are necessary. Aldo, recently read that ranges vary by age, with those over 60 getting a pass on meds until BP reads 150/90. True?

Hi,

The new data suggest that target upper range of blood pressure can be 150/90 in hypertensive patients, especially in elderly.
But if we can acheive less than 140/90 without any adverse effects, it is more preferred.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
