The common side effects are headache, low blood pressure,
dizziness, breathlessness, fatigue,
muscle cramps, low
heart rate, palpitations, flushing, leg swelling due to edema,
dyspepsia, cold extremities. Medicine dose is important for controlling blood pressure. It will not cause any specific side effect on long term use. You have to take medicine mostly for life-long unless it remains under normal range without treatment. Do not alter dose yourself unless suggested by your doctor. Altering dose or taking lesser doses will cause fluctuation in your BP which is not good. It is better to keep your BP in range of 110-130/70-90 mmHg. It should not go beyond 130/90 mmHg.
