What Are The Fibrotic Streaks Seen In X-ray That Did Not Show Up In Sputum Culture Test ?

Recently i did a sputumn culture test and it came out negative; i initially did two afb tests and was also negative. i have no fever, weight loss, but sometimes cough. yesterday i coughed up blood stained sputumn about 5 times and it stopped. i guess it was due to a stressful day. i have also been treated for tb in the pat and was cured and discharged.but fibrotic streaks were seen in a recent x-ray i did, which was the reason i did the tests which came out negative. what do you think is the problem?

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinon you should not worry about it. Old tb lesion can be seen as fibrotic band once tb is cured. It is natural healing process. And since your rrports are also normal, you are not suffering from active TB now.
And In my practice I have seen many old TB patients came with hemoptysis with no active lesion. The most common cause in such patients is friction bleed due to coughing. So I think same has happened to you.
I advice you to take cough suppressant.
