What Are The Effects Of Too Much Chlorine In Water?

My parents have a strong chorline smell in their kitchen water. The caregiver told me that too much chorline could affect the brain, hence memory loss. Is this true? My parents already have dementia/alzheimers. Should we take any action on this matter? Get a filter for the faucet? Thanks. Pat

Hello....excessive chlorine intake can cause following health effects (1) LUNGS - difficuilty in breathing / pulmonary edema i.e collection of fluis in lungs (2) GASTRIC - pain / vomiting / blood in stools (3) BLOOD - chlorine can turn ph of blood to SEVERE ACIDIC LEVELS which can in turn damage multiple organs (4) HEART - sudden collapse and very low blood pressure (5) severe pain in throat n burning in eyes....NO , CHLORINE HAS NO RFFECTS ON BRAIN BUT YES YOU SHOULD USE A GOOD QUALITY WATER FILTER....dr rahul
