What Are The Effects Of Hypertension?

Hello, I have a quiery about efects of high blood pressure. A tragedy happened a week ago and since then I feel stressed. Today the doctor measured my blood pressure and it was 165/90. I will go to examinations to different doctors in a few days, but what I would like to know now is whether this high blood pressure can have an instant effect on my body or not. I am a bit afraid at the moment because of my blood pressure. (I am 20 years old, I do exercises regularly, I eat healthy food.)
