What Are The Effects Of Endometrial Stripe During A Pregnancy?

I am 6 weeks pregnant today. Had an ultrasound yesterday and doc says I have a very great looking gestational sac (solid white line on outside) with a baby that has a heartbeat! I actually just had a miscarriage week of June 10th, but quickly got pregnant at end of June. I also have had 3 c-sections. I am more than concerned though because I saw something that was never on any of my other ultrasounds... an endometrial stripe! I asked doc how often people with this have a healthy pregnancy. He said, to be honest, he has never seen this in pregnancy. How much should I expect this to be a failed pregnancy?

No. Uterine stripes, known as SYNECHIAE, are frequently found in pregnant women. They are usually seen after Dilation and Curettage. This condition characterized by adhesions of the endometrium lining the intrauterine cavity. In my practice they are common occurrence and pregnancies are not affected by their presence. They stretch and eventually break and disappear by the pressure exerted by the growing baby and its membranes
