What Are The Effects After Mini Stroke?

My husband was told by the er doctor that he had a mini stroke, his left arm was numb, he went to another dr. and he said he didnt, mri didnt show anything, blood pressure was ok, cholestoral was a little high, he hasnt been able to sleep since, and it so tired during the day he isnt able to function

Well if a properly executed MRI has not shown anything then I would go with the second doctor. Although if the numbness lasted less than a hour (esp if it involved also the cface or the leg) it could mean also a TIA - transient ischemic attack which could mean that there is a high risk for future stroke and preventive treatment with aspirin would be recommended.
Anyway the numbness, especially if limited to the arm and not involving the face or the leg, could have other reasons, say a cervical spinal problem. There also is the possibility of it having a psychological origin, the fact he hasn't been able to sleep might indicate anxiety problems, so while he should pay attention to his cholesterol and lead a healthy lifestyle, he should try to relax and if the sleeping issue persist perhaps a course of anxiolitics could be considered.

The symptoms of stroke is vomiting headache pain in lower limb or upper limb sensation loss and muscle weakness, if he does not have any combination symptoms then it can not be a stroke but due to neck pain or may be due to once side sleep the same side hand might be having some pain or numbness. Don't take tension and just keep checking his blood pressure regularly if it shows any fluctuation too much like beyond 140/85 then he need to take medication as well ask him to start regular walking or cycling as a exercise and do take medication to control the cholesterol as well need to change his diet habits also. Reduce oily and fatty as well fast food consumption and increase vegetable and fruits consumption.
