What Are The Drug Actions And Side Effects Of Quadtab?

helo doctor,,i just want to know about my condition..my doctor an IM pulmonary prescribe me a med which is Quadtab,,coz he was doubt i have a ptb but my sputom test is negative and my xray is smear ptb but inactive..i have no history of that and even no member of my family have that..is it ok if i take the med?my family is worried that i take the med Quadtab for it has many side effect..pls help

Hi,
Pulmonary Tuberculosis ,It is possible to have a sputum negative result but still prescribed anti tubercular medicines. Fever,cough,loss of weight, or any other finding in blood test may indicate active tuberculosis or even some time therapeutic trial may be given in endemic areas.
Your doctor knows best .As far as side effects are concerned watch for any development of nausea vomiting and Yellow colour in eyes that is Jaundice which may occur in minority of cases where some drugs needs to be stopped. All the best.
