What Are The Consequences Of Injury To Forehead?

Is it possible to fracture your forehead by a swinging door?
is it possible to fracture your forehead by a swinging door??

so, a door swung and hit my forehead - i wasn't knocked out or anything and the impact wasn't THAT hard but i ended up w/ internal bruising and over the next couple of days, i was able to feel the bruise whenever i put pressure on that area...

so, im wondering if my forehead has been fractured???

and what are some of the consequences of having a door hit your face/forehead??

Hi there,
I am Dr. Deepak, I work in Emergency Department, where I see many patients with injury to their head. As you mentioned you had injured your head as a door swung and hit your forehead, and you developed internal bruising. Which you were able to feel for next couple of days.
I feel you had sustained minor injury to your head, I can say that as
1. you didn't had any dizzy feeling.
2. You didn't had vomiting even though you had nausea.
3. You didn't loose consciousness.
4. You are not feeling any numbness or weakness of any one side of your body
5. You are not having any blueish discoloration around your eyes and behind the ear
6. You are not having any trouble with walking.
And the most important thing is you are pretty much okay right now.
Your main concern is regarding fracture over the forehead. It can cause fracture but it depends on lots of things, like amount of force it struck with, how is you bone density(Low density bone gets fracture easily), are you suffering from any other medical condition(Medication of which reduces bone density).
Considering you are healthy young man/woman with no other medical condition. It is very unlikely for the bone to get fractured with the amount of force you have mentioned.
Even if the bone is fracture, you need not worry much, It will take some time to heal(Fracture will heal in 1-2 months duration). Good Thing is you don't have any internal damage.
Till then you can take some pain killer, and apply ice pack.
Thank you
Hope your concern was dealt with and hope you have a speedy recovery.
