Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I haven t been given the numbers but I ve been told that I have really low blood pressure, it worried the district nurse who told my GP and the GP wants my BP checked every day for a month. What are the concerns for really low blood pressure ? I do suffer with dizziness.....
There is a very real problem with dizziness and passing out. It might not seem much but imagine passing out as you wait to cross the road and falling in front of a vehicle etc.
If you have low blood pressure it really means your body lacks the ability to get oxygen around your system efficiently and that can lead to problems with hands and feet and lead to the collapse of vital organs.
This problem is often linked with over weight, lack of activity and wrong diet.
Take your doctors advice seriously.
"kwarlette" not only are you wrong - as a student nurse it classes you as a professional and if anything happens to anybody following your advice it makes you liable to be sued!! I suggest you speek to your tutor!!!
"Ourmaxine" is so wrong - it fully illustrates why you should not trust advice given on here. Low blood pressure can and does kill if you do not follow the doctors advice!!!!
