Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Down syndrome screening is done by serum screening( double/ triple/ quadruple marker) and by anomaly ultrasound at18-20 weeks of pregnancy. If your double marker is low risk, then the chances of Down syndrome is very rare, however anomaly ultrasound at18-20 weeks will further clarify the picture.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
