What Are The Complication In Conceiving After Diagnosed With MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS COMPLEX?

Good day doctor,i am married for three years,my age is 27yrs.
BUT I WAS UNABLE TO CONCEIVE,ACCORDING TO DOCTOR I HAVE POLYSISTIC OVARY,LAST MONTH DOCTOR DONE LAPROSCOPY ALONG WITH HYSTROSCOPY ,BUT IN TB-PCR REPORT I HAVE DETECTED MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS COMPLEX,DOCTOR PRESCRIBE AKT4,IF I CONCEIVE IN FUTURE THERE WILL BE NO PROBLEM ?AND ALSO TELL ME IS THERE ANY PROBLEM WITH NORMAL SEX LIFE???

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

I see similar cases amongst people who visit my clinic.

During treatment of tuberculosis , you can not conceive because anti tubercular drugs are harmful ( teratogenic) for fetus .

After 6 month of completing treatment, you can conceive without any problem.


In future there are no complication.
