What Are The Chances To Avoid Surgery For Cyst On Esophagus/bronchi?

I have been diagnosed with a cyst on either my esophages or my Bronchi (they aren t sure yet). I have had an MRI and a CT scan both with contrast. I am now being told that I need another gated MRI. I am being treated now for stomach ulcers. I cough all the time. What are the chances that they will be able to fix this without major surgery?

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
Esophageal and or bronchial cyst if symptomatic than should be removed surgically. Surgery is the treatment of choice for such cyst.
And it is better to remove this cyst as chances of following complications are high if these cysts are left untreated.
1. Infection
2. Rupture
3. Fistula formation.
4. Pressure symptoms on surrounding structures.
So better to remove this cyst surgically.
