good afternoon Doc, I have a question regarding tb at a second time.. how can the patient survive fast? because my father now is suffering tb at a second time actually he is in the hospital now. so thin, weak, no good Appetite. can you give me some ideas on what to do?pls. help :( I am so really wooried for my father for his health...

I can understand your situation and problem.
Recurrence or relapse of tuberculosis is common thing. No need to worry much about this. Relapse if tuberculosis demands AFB culture and sensitivity.
Chances of drug resistant tuberculosis are high in relapse cases. So at the treatment initiation, it is better to give anti tubercular drugs which are sensitive (according to the sensitivity report).
So consult pulmonologist and get done Sputum AFB culture and sensitivity and start anti tubercular drugs according to the sensitivity pattern.
The duration of treatment for relapse in tuberculosis is for atleast 8 months. And streptomycin injection should be given. So discuss all these with pulmonologist.
Don't worry, your father will be alright.
