What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy If Experiencing Symptoms After Unprotected Sex?

Hi doctor. I had a d&c 16 days ago. Since then I have had unprotected sex 3 times. today I noticed bloating and gas as if I was pregnant all over again. Now we have been using condoms however im concerned that it may be too late. I also have been going to the bathroom frequently.

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic..

2 ) I will suggest you to wait for your menses till 30 days from your date of surgical procedure. Or at least 15 days from your last unprotected sex act.

As even after termination procedure, ovulation can restart and with history of unprotected sex act, you need to rule out pregnancy.

You can get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy or blood beta HCG test will be of help.

3 ) In ccase pregnancy test is negative, you can simply wait for the onset of periods or induce the periods with Tab Regestrone 5 mg twice a day for 5 days. Usually periods start within 3 to 10 days of finishing the tablets.

4 ) If the test is positive, you can opt for termination of the pregnancy with medicines safely till 9 weeks of the pregnancy under medical supervision.
