Hello,

I can understand your concern. When you had sex on 18th March, was it protected or did you take emergency contraceptive pill after that? If not, chances of pregnancy are there. Then second intercourse was protected by emergency contraceptive pill so there might not be any pregnancy through that.

However, if you do get pregnant, the doctor will be able to tell you estimates date of conceiving which you can match with the date of conception to know which intercourse is responsible for conceiving. If 15 days have passed since your last intercourse, you can take a home pregnancy urine test to confirm if you are pregnant.

If taken once in a while, emergency contraceptive pills are safe. They may cause little stomach upset, dizziness, tender breasts, lower abdominal pain, change in mentruation date and bleeding pattern etc. However, if taken regularly or more than twice in a month, chaces of severe side effecrs are there.

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
