What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Having Plan B?

Hi Doc, I had sexual intercourses with my boyfriend last week. On Monday it was our first time and he couldn t really got in. He was with condoms always but it was so painful for me so we stopped. I got a slight bleeding on Wednesday but it stopped. We then try to have sex again on Thursday and Friday. We were with condoms and he ejaculated outside by using hands. We did it early in the morning before started our second time in the evening. We tried with another condom but we couldn t feel anything. So we did without condom for 3-5 mins before put it back again. He ejaculated by hands long after that and it was outside of the vagina. There was another time when he went in for a couple minutes but he didnt ejaculated. My last menstruate was on the 23rd of Sep and we had sex on the 16-17th of Oct. I never count my ovulation period so I have no idea if I m regular or not. I just read an article about pre-cum and got so scared. I ll take a plan B today (Monday) even though it is almost 72 hours after I had sex. Will it reduce my chance of pregnancy ? will I be pregnant at all by pre- cum ? when should I get the pregnancy test ? what are symptoms of pregnancy and when will I notice it ? Please answer asap ! thanks a lot !

Hello,
Your chances of pregnancy are low if you have regular 28-30 day cycles since you were in the safe period. Emergency pill will help if taken within 72 hours of an unprotected intercourse. When taken, it can cause some breakthrough bleeding and often delays the next natural period by a week or two. Pre-ejaculate, when deposited on the vagina or vulva can cause pregnancy if it happens during the ovulation period as it contains sperm enough. Since you had protected intercourse mostly, you need not worry. You can get a home pregnancy test 3-7 days later if you miss your natural period, or get help from a specialist if you do not see it even after ten days since you have taken the pill. Take care.
