What Are The Chances Of Getting Chlamydia Infection With Unprotected Sex?

Hi, I'm a female of 18, 5'4" and 130. This morning I received a phone call from an ex sexual partner saying that he had contracted chlamydia. We had unprotected sex twice and I am currently in a relationship with someone new, no protection is used during intercourse. What is the likelihood that I have contracted this STI (how easy is it to catch) and how likely is it for me to pass it on to someone new.

Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM. My opinion is that, unprotected sexual intercourse is dangerous, particularly for those having multiple sexual partners. Not only this increases the risk of Chlamydia, but this also increases the risk of other STIs including HIV.
To specifically tell you regarding the chances of getting chlamydia infection, I need to know how many days back you had sexual intercourse with your ex-partner.
Regarding your second question, I would say you can definitely transfer any STI to your partner(s) if you are already infected.
Lastly, my recommendation for you is-
1. Avoid multiple sexual partners
2. Please ask your partner to use condom during intercourse
3. You and your current and ex-partner should have HIV test done (visit appropriate testing center as per your local govt. policy)
4. Please visit the nearest adolescent health service clinic (if applicable in your country) for information regarding sexual and lifestyle issues
5. Please consult your doctor if you have fever, rash, urogenital symptoms at the earliest.
