What Are The Chances Of Early Labor Having Dilated 1cm And 50% Effaced?

Hi. I am 38 weeks pregnant and have had consistent contractions with some light cramping. The past few days I have been very nauseated and find myself with soft stools, some diarrhea and sweating. Last check I was 1cm, 50% effaced and -1 station. Any possibility that labor could be sooner than the 2 weeks I have left?

Hi 'you can be in labour 2 weeks earlier than dates. It is normal. 38 weeks is term not premature baby. If you have diahorrhea nausea etc it is suggesting increaed prostaglandin activity possibly that you ate going into labour which is corraborated by 50 percent effacement. It is better to get admitted for observation to see if you progress into active labour. False labour is diagnosed only as retrospective event. Hope i made myself clear .thank you
