What Are The Chances Of Contracting HIV By Giving Oral Sex?

Please help me out ...i had gave oral sex with same sex. an after 24hrs i had high fever and after 48 hrs started lose motion. but within three day by taking medicinal treatment i feel good and i have done HIV test Eliza but it was non reactive if there is any other test to get correct result please let me know ... in July first week i'll be complete my 3 months so after 3 months i should go for test or it can be done now..... and please tell me what are the chances of get infected through giving oral sex to same sex...

Hi, there is some chance of getting hiv agter oral sex . However your symptoms are not of hiv. Because hiv cant produce symptoms in these early days. you should go for confirmatory hiv testing . You can go with hiv 1 and 2 antibodies and p24 antigen combo test after three months or p24 antigen after a month of exposure.

Oral sex is the lowest risk activity compared to vaginal/anal sex and HIV can't be interpreted by symptoms. Since you have already tested negative at some point in the timeline (you have not mentioned the post exposure actual date of the test and your gender which was non -reactive), so just to complete the protocol and buy peace of your mind get a test done at 90 days post exposure.
As stated Oral sex with same sex is considered low risk , but no zero risk .
