What Are The Chances Of Bleeding In A Anterior Placenta Previa Type 2 Condition?
respected sir, my wife has been diagonised as anterior placenta previa type 2. she is now in 27 weeks ( LMP 21/04/2011) , the baby weight is 1392 grams n heart beat is 149. i am currently residing in dubai. There is no bleeding now and doctor asked to take complete bed rest. my question is what are the chances of bleeding when the weeks are passing? will it affect the baby and mother? i am really distressed is there any chance of not bleeding upto the full weeks. can you please advise
Hello sir,I understand your concern. In my opinion placenta praevia is a condition where in causeless ,painless bleeding occurs.Type 2 mild grade of placenta praevia. We cannot definitely say the chances and amount of bleeding.Bleeding varies from no bleeding, just spotting once or recurrently or frank bleeding. But only thing in our hands is to take strict bed rest and avoid provocative factors like physical strain, intercourse etc.Bleeding might cause anaemia in mother and fetal distress.Dont worry as it is 2 nd grade with proper care complications might be no or less. Best regards...Dr srilatha
