What Are The Chances Of Being Pregnant?

On and off for the last 3 weeks everyone in the house has had the stomach flu. I have had it at least once a week ( We have 4 kids and I take Humira). The first 2 weeks I was vomiting and had diarrhea for about 3 days. The 3rd week it only lasted for 1 day but was the 1st day of my 2nd week in the pack. The 1st week of the stomach flu was the last week of the pack. Week 2 was the 1st week of the pack and so forth. I hope that makes since... My husbend and I had unprotected sex twice during that time and we never even thought twice about it. Now I am worried that I might be preg. What are the chances?

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic.

2 ) As you might be aware that in presence of vomiting and diarrhoea, oral contraceptive pills may not be effective in preventing the pregnancy.

So there is chance of getting pregnant .

3 At the moment, I will suggest you to continue to take the remaining pills and finish out the pull pack

If you get your periods, within 7 days of finishing the pills then you need not worry about the pregnancy.

3 ) If you happen to miss your periods, then please get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

4 ) If at all, you happen to face similar condition in future please do use barrier contraceptive method like condom.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
