What Are The Chances Of STD After Protected Oral And Vaginal Sex?

Had protected oral and vaginal sex with a csw at a massage parlor. Didnt see her take out the condom but she had one out on a tissue and not sure if it broke or came off during sex. What are the chances of getting hiv/herpes ? And what if there was no condom used?

Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Though protected sex is safe in terms of Hiv but it is not completely protective against genital herpes. Unprotected sex is high risk in terms of all STD's including Hiv and Hsv.
The chances of acquiring infection from an infected female partner is 1 in 2500 for Hiv.
Herpes is more likely to transmit if there were active sores; the risk of transmission is less but not completely Zero even during clinically silent phases of genital herpes.
In your scenario, testing is definitely recommended since you are not sure whether the sexual encounter was a protected one throughout the act.
In such a scenario It would be advisable to get tested for all STD's.
Testing for Hiv and Syphilis can be taken up earliest at 1 month.
Genital herpes can be tested earliest at 2 weeks with a blood test to detect presence of antibodies, that should be present in case you acquired herpes virus.
Gonorrhea and chlamydia can be tested with a swab at 2 weeks.
Moreover, if you develop any signs or symptoms of an STD like burning on urination, pus discharge per urethrum, sores, erosions, warts or growths in the genital area you must get yourself checked with a venereologist.
