What Are The Causes Of Itching In Opening Of Penile Urethral End Of A 4 Year Old Kid?

Hi...my 4.3yrs old son complains of itching at opening of penile urethral end (part of glans penis)wen I looked closely there is ver y small pimples at both end of opening .not red or swollen and no difficulty in urinating ...just complAining of itching???????

Welcome to HCM,

The symptoms of your son suggest me that he may be having some fungal infection. The fungus are the normal comensals of this area, which will be kept under control by the useful organisms whenever there is a change in the environment these fungus will activates and produces the symptoms of itching and pain.

Your sons symptoms requires physical examination to find out the actual cause for the symptoms and then it can be treated appropriately.

For his symptoms I would suggest you to follow
Keep that area clean and dry
Dry it after urination
Apply topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole.
