What Are The After Effects Of Inguinal Hernia Repair Surgery?

My sister had surgery 3 weeks ago for inguinal hernia repair. She has continued to have vomiting. Has wound up back in the hospital. Needed a blood transfusion. K+ is too low & they are giving it to her IV. The Dr. s are unable to give her a diagnosis. Is there a possibility she could have leukemia?

She is having vomiting because of low potassium . But why Low potassium needs to be evaluated . Also she required a Blood transfusion means either she had lost too much blood during surgery or gradually in post operative period .
Evaluation needs to be done as why she lost blood as Hernia repair doesn't causes too much of blood loss . Ask your doctors to do Ultrasound Abdomen Pelvis to see the status of wound .
Also get Urine Potassium levels tested , also post all the reports done till now before and after surgery .
