What Are The After Effects Of Consuming Crystal Meth?

At a party with some friends last night I apparently snorted some crystal meth. I thought it was coke. Not much better but I didn t do much, just wanted to try it. Is there anyway to counteract the effects I m getting right now naturally? I don t use drugs regularly. I had tried cocaine once before and thought that was this, now I am nervous.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us,

Some of the side effects of using crystal meth can be difficulty sleeping for a few hours, increased heart and pulse rate, increased BP, mood swings etc. These effects wear out by themselves in time. There is nothing you need to do in order for them to go away. The effects can last upto 24 hours in some cases.

If you do not feel relieved of symptoms even after this time, you may visit a psychiatrist. It is advisable to avoid using drugs like cocaine or methamphetamine even occasionally.

Hope this answers your query.
