What Are The After Effects Of Accidental Overdose Of Methylphenidate?

I take 20mg Methylphenidate every 3-4 hours, as per the doctors instructions. Accidentally took 20mg only 2 hours apart. If I understand correctly, this means that when it kicks in, I should feel the effects of approximately 30mg ingested at once. This is a dose I ve been on before. It produced some side effects (restlessness, euphoria) but not necessarily a dangerous amount, simply undesirable for treating ADD. Should I be worried or just ride it out ?

Do not repeat the accidental ingestion again; that might be the only precaution you need to take. Ensure that you take methylphenidate as prescribed and do not increase or decrease the dose without consulting.
A single 20mg dose taken 1-2 hours earlier might cause some excitation as described above and may not pose any significant risk. Will advice you to take the next dose as scheduled 5-6 hours later.
