What Are Some Of The Side Effects Of Seroquel?

What are some of the side effects of Seroquel? I have been taking for sleep for about a month. I take it between 6 and 7 in the evening and I still don t feel tired at 10. I try to sleep and sometimes I am up all night. Then all I want to do is sleep all morning. I have no get up and go. I hope you can come up with some kind of help. Thank you, Rita

According to history provided by you,It seems you are suffering from insomnia for which you are taking quetiapine that is Seroquel.

As you asked for side effects of the drug
listing the some of the common side effects of the drug.

1. Increased diastolic blood pressure
2. Somnolence
3. Lipid profile abnormalities
4. Dry mouth
5. Constipation
6. Increased appetite

Some advice related to your problem

1. Develop regular sleep habits; this means keeping a regular sleep and wake time.

2. Avoid daytime naps

3. Do not read, write, eat, watch TV, talk on the phone.

4. Avoid stimulating activities prior to bedtime

5. Exercise daily

Maintain a sleep diary and as much as possible avoid taking sleep medications.If such patient comes to me then I usually advice him/her zolfresh 5 mg ,one hour before bedtime plus above mentioned points to maintain sleep hygiene.

I would like to suggest you to visit nearby neurologist or psychiatrist for proper evaluation and management of your problem.
