What Are Side Effects Of Wysolone?
Hi, my mother is 57yrs old and has rheumatoid arthiritis. She was prescribed Wysolone tablets. She is hesitating to use them as some other doctor said it is a steroid and she is not supposed to be using it for long. She has used it for a week now and is noticing that her face is swollen early in the morning. Could you please let me know the side effects of this tablet?

YEs Wysolone is a steroid and long term intake can cause many side effects some of which can be serious.
Side effects are Thinning of skin , Gastritis , Swelling of face , Weakening of bones , Raise in blood sugars , Cataract , Mood swings etc .
But its a very good medication for rheumatoid arthritis and it can be changed to other non steroidal medicines after few weeks or months . I advise her to continue medications .
