What Are Side Effects Of Coming Off Of Wysalone?

my mother is 78 yrs old and she has electrolytes problem. I am in bangalore now. One of the doctor has prescribed Wysalone 5mg. she is using this tablet last 7 months. I heard that if she will edict to that tablet it will be dangerous. Now i want to stop that tablet.Day beofre Yesterday i have not given the tablet. Yeasterday i have given 1/2 tablet. and today i have not given that tablet. can u please help how to stop that and if stop right way is there any problem? another doctor told me if we stop that tablet right away it will effect liver? how far its correct? can you any one please help me in this regard Thanks in advance...

As you mentioned that your mother were taking WYSOLONE 5 mg i.e. prednisolone 5 mg .
This is a minimum dose , so need not to worry . As you mentioned that 1/2 tablet was given and that on alternate day .
Now maintain 1/2 tablet on alternate day for two weeks . After this 1/2 tablet twice in a week and thereafter 1/2 once in week and stop .
However this will not show any untoward effect. No any untoward effect over liver after stoppage of drug.
Plenty of calcium syrup required during this period ( if otherwise not contraindicated).
