I am also taking lithium and abilify for bipolar disorder. I had a severe heart attack last November 4th 2005 and a 6-way bypass open heart surgery on November the 9th. NO BODY KNOW ANYONE CHANCE TO LIVE.WE ONLY HOPE.BUT YES YOU HAVE SO MANY DISEASES BUT REMEMBER THOSE DISEASE ARE DANGEROUS ONLY WHEN PATIENT DONT KNOW THE NATURE OF THE DISEASE,DONT TAKE MEDICINE PROPERLY,DONT FREQUENTLY VISIT CLINICIAN SO DONT DO THAT BECOME STRICTLY ADHERE TO THE TREATMENT ,GO TO THE DOCTOR AS ADVISE THEN I AM SURE YOU WILL STAY LONGEY MAY BE MORE THAN 10 YEARS.

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor First of all the bipolar disorder should have no impact on your lifespan, unless you get suicidal. The only thing that would concern me is being diabetic, since it effects so many parts of your body. Having Heart bypass surgery only prolongs your lifespan. My grandmother had a triple bypass and lived to just shy of 90. With the advances in medicine, I'd say your chances of being alive ten years from now are rather good. That said, healthy or not, live everyday like it's your last.
