I had an ekg done and it came out borderline abnormal. Possible left atrial abnormality. My dr said not to worry and marked that out & wrote normal. Then he scheduled an echo. What is he looking at and if it's normal why is he ordering another test?
Echo cardiography is more sensitive and reliable test for the heart as compared to electrocardiogram. It gives detailed information about the various chambers, their walls , valves and their functioning.
