What Are Effects Of Smoking Marijuana After Pregnancy On Baby?

I've been smoking marijuana for morning sickness and headaches up until now, I'm 17 weeks pregnant today I stopped yesterday and decided to no longer smoke for many reasons. My question is what is the likelihood of my baby testing positive when born? Is there anything that I can do to help it get out of our systems quicker? I do not want my child to be taken away because I smoked.

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.
No one can really say how long you will test positive for marijuana, since the rate of THC metabolism varies per individual. The amount of marijuana consumed can also alter the window of time that your body retains traces of THC. It most probably will not be present in baby's system when you will deliver.
You should quit marijuana forever and donot worry much.
Hope this relaxes you.
Thanks.
